Last weekend we went all the way to Pampanga to visit the Clark Hot Air Balloon Festival. It was something I really planned over the past few weeks for. I wanted the boys to experience seeing the balloons, something we used to do as a family when I was small back in Vienna and also when my dad was working in Clark. It was definitely worth the long drive from Calamba. Konti lang kami but it was fun to be with family. Makulit as usual si Edwin -- which Papa really enjoys (surprise revelation: we can crack jokes with Papa!). The Paddy girls were high pitched as usual, singing all the time. My kids were always running around too, except in a scary, oh-no-he-almost-fell-again kind of way. (Taking the taxi is not helping us lose the weight we have gained here!) We checked out the shops in the Hauptbahnhof (the only place we could think of that would be open on a Sunday) and then went to Sunday service at the International Baptist Church at Michaelispassage. We met a lot of Pinays! We then went to spend the rest of the afternoon at the famous Speicherstadt (warehouse area). We have been planning to visit the Miniatur Wunderland for a few days now. Finally we got to go. It was kind of creepy because it reminded me of the Miniature killer in CSI. Hahaha!
